Abstract:
The specific objective to be achieved from the PPDM activities is to make the villages of Kwau and Syoubri become centers for nature reserve tourism and wildlife conservation steps in Manokwari, West Papua Province. Efforts to overcome the problems faced by local communities, especially in increasing community income requires some concrete ways such as attracting local and foreign tourists by making animal observation sites, training local guides, training and giving certificates to local guide tour coaches in the Arfak Mountains nature reserve, training aware of tourism for the conservation area for all PPDM partners, as well as conducting sanitation and nature conservation counseling, how to organize homestays, training in processing agricultural products, training in art galleries in order to attract tourists. The method used for PPDM is counseling and training. The institutions that are partners in the PPDM program are the Culture and Tourism Office of West Papua Province. The contribution and benefit obtained by the target audience is the use of the results of the application of appropriate technology for the PPDM program as a solution for the development of the Agriculture Group, the Kwau Mino Studio and the Papua Loriket Group in the Kwau Village in the Warmare District of Manokwari Regency as a pilot project in the ecotourism village in West Papua Province.
