Abstract:
The study aims to determine the composition of soil macrofauna, soil macrofauna populations know the understory plantations and natural forests, vegetation density counting down and the pole., and determine the effect on the population density of pant stands macrofauna. The results showed that the composition of soil macrofauna living under plantation stands planting year 2004-2007 as many as 23 species of fauna and forest land as many as 11 types of soil fauna with an individual total of 34 individuals. There are three predominant types of soil fauna in forest plantations and natural forests, which Formicidae (Oecophylla), Diplopoda (Jelid millipede) and Diplopoda (Oniscomorpha). Similarity index calculation result indicate that the type of soil macrofauna species in plantations 65,15% similar to the type found in natural forests, while only 34,85% of plants found in the forest. Under the dominant plant species in forest plantation and natural forests in Dracaena angustifolia belongs to Asparagaceae, Mollotus sp, and Timonius timon belongs to Euphorbiaceae
