Abstract:
Bidikmisi activities are a means of fostering the character of the nation’s children. Readiness of the nation’s generation of children will determine the readiness of the state in competing in the millennial era. Bidikmisi activities were carried out on the campus of the University of Papua, followed by students receiving bidikmisi from 12 Faculties in Unipa. 193 students were involved in responding through an online survey prepared by the committee. (1) Science competition namely.Popular scientific article writing contest; (2) Cultural Exhibitions namely Cultural Attraction; (3) Science, technology and art copyright contests. Data analysis was performed using a questionnaire program in the Google forms program. Data from the study results are displayed in graphical form which is presented proportionally (percentage%). The results showed that participants responded more to the activities of Cultural Attractions (84 students) and stand up comedy (84 students). While writing scientific articles received the least amount of feedback from students, only 18 students. Found students to be very satisfied 28.6% followed by 24% quite satisfied and only 1% dissatisfied. Technology activities, works of Literature, Science and Art, found 52.1% were very satisfied followed by 2.6% were quite satisfied and only 2.1% were not satisfied. For stand up comedy activities, 57.8% were very satisfied, 25% were quite satisfied and only a small proportion of students were dissatisfied 2.1%. It was concluded that Unipa students were very satisfied in participating in the coaching activities.
