Abstract:
Dug wells are a source of clean water used by the majority of the population in KulonProgo Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region, Indonesia. Clean water must meet the requirements for water quality standards according to the Regulation of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia Number 32 of 2017. The purpose of this study was to determine the quality status of dug well water in the working area of 6 Health Centers of KulonProgo Regency and study the effect of the physical condition of dug wellson the quality of the well water. Determination of water quality status is carried out using the pollution index method according to Permenkes Number 32 of 2017. The water quality data used is secondary data from the results of water quality inspection from the Technical Implementation Unit of the Health Laboratory Health Office of KulonProgo Regency in 2021. Based on pollution index calculations, from 60 wells as samples for measuring water quality, there were 76.67% of wells with lightly polluted water quality status and 23.33% of wells with good water quality status. Based on observations of the physical condition of the well, it can be concluded that the physical condition of the dug well influences the quality of the well water.
