dc.description.abstract Manokwari is a region with very high potential mass movement hazard. This is due to the fact that Manokwari is located between a meeting of several large plates, such as the Pacific-Carolina Ocean Plate, Plate, Australian Continent Plate, Eurasian Continent Plate, and Philippine Ocean Plate which interact with each other. The interaction and dynamics of these tectonic plates have an impact on the condition of geological resources and the potential hazard/disaster hazard in the area of Manokwari and its surroundings. One of the potential geological hazard/disaster in Manokwari is mass movement in addition to earthquakes and tsunamis. This study aims to identify the potential geological hazard/disaster of mass movement as implications for spatial and regional planning and mitigation of disaster risk reduction in Manokwari District. The analysis of mass movement hazard was using a spatial analysis approach using ArcGis 10.4 software. The parameters of mass movement hazard such as slope, rock type, soil type, rainfall, structural density, land cover and flow density are classified based on score, weight and overlay. Mass movement Hazard in Manokwari are divided into three categories: low, medium and high. Analysis result show that high hazard category is about 219 Km2 (18,88%), medium hazard category is around 751 Km2 (64,74%) and low hazard category is about 190 Km2 (16,38%). Mitigation actions and risk reduction efforts are important that need to be act to optimize the utilization of spatial patterns as "Geological Disaster Conservation Land" for areas that have high hazard level criteria; medium category as limited space pattern with protected function and cultivation land 2) Areas with low hazard level can be used as cultivation land and other land that are adjusted to spatial principles and applicable regulations en_US
