Response of Coffee Seedlings Inoculated With AM Fungi and Application of Papuan Crandallite Phosphate Rock

dc.description.abstract The effect of Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi (AMF) inoculation and application of Papuan Crandallite Phosphate Rock (PCPR) was studied on the growth of coffee seedling. The treatment of PCPR consisted of 0, 2, 4, 6, 8, g P2O5.plant-1 and 2 g P2O5 SP-18 as a comparison treatment, while the AMF inoculants consisted of Mycofer from IPB Bogor, AMF Indigenous from coffee rhizosphere in Manokwari and without AMF. Acid soil which was collected from Guentui, Manokwari, was used as planting media, while the coffee seeds were obtained from the Coffee and Cacao Research Center, East Java.The study was carried out for 16 weeks after planting under 60% of shading net. All fertilization treatments which were inoculated with AMF produced better seedling growth compared to the seedling growth without AMF, while the best seedling growth was inoculated with AMF Mycofer. The coffee seedlings which inoculated with AMF Mycofer were positively correlated to increase the dosage levels of PCPR i.e r >0.45, AMF indigenous r >0.65 and without AMF r >0.46, respectively. AMF Mycofer is more effective in increasing the leaves number (12.50%), seedling height (27.29%), stem diameter (30.23%), shoot dry weight (112.21%), root dry weight (136.88%), and root-shoot ratio (19.04%). en_US
