dc.description.abstract Papua Indonesia in the Western side of New Guinea Island is known as the wide distribution site of Ant plant. However, it is also known that the plant had been extensively harvested over time. As such, the information of growing site of Myrmecodia plant is significantly required to culture the plant in the future. Sub-district of Warmare in Manokwari district is known as one of the distribution site forMyrmecodia sp. Such species lived by sticking to plants with coarse profile plants such as Dodonea vicosa, Melicope sp, Litsea sp, Homalanthus sp, Mallotus sp and Glochidion sp. The species typically grows in wet area close to water sources such as river. The species commonly stick on main trunck of host plant (69%) with sun duration between 5 – 7 hours per day, with relative humidity ranged from 53-83 % and air temperature ranged between 260C – 290C during day time and between 180C – 200C during night time en_US
