Abstract:
Scab disease caused by Elsione batatas is a major disease in sweetpotato that can reduce the production of 20-50 % in susceptible sweetpotato cultivar. The symptom can be detected on leaves, midribs, petioles and stems. One of the biological agents that are antagonistic and were able to control the scab disease is Trichoderma sp . This study aims to determine the effectivity of treatment Trichoderma sp . for plant growth sweet potato and disease intensity of scab. Research was used factorial completely randomized design consisting of sweet potato tuber cultivars factors and treatment Trichoderma sp. The results showed that there were differences in the length and number of tillers spiraling tendrils of each cultivar were tested, more frequent treatment of Trichoderma lower the intensity of scab that occurred, the incubation period Bonsasarai cultivars and Mouwebsi nine weeks after planting while cultivars Abomourow moreover showed no symptoms of scab, cultivars Bonsasarai is resistant to scab disease while on Mouwebsi and Abomourow cultivars resistant to scab disease, and value the effectiveness of Trichoderma sp. at three times treatment to Elsinoe batatas is 56.96% in the favorable category.
