PROSPEK KAMBING PERANAKAN ETAWAH (PE) SEBAGAI TERNAK UNGGUL DALAM MENDUKUNG PEMBERDAYAAN EKONOMI MASYARAKAT DI KABUPATEN MANOKWARI

Abstract

This research has purpose to identify aspects that determine(for factors and againts factors) developed prospect of Etawah Cross Bred buck that was previewed in cultivation, production and income aspects. This survey was conducted in Prafi District, Manokwari Regency, particularly in Harapan Makmur farmer group as a receiver of sharing program implemented for 2 months. The average income of farmer is Rp. 4.501.403, 85 per year. The increase of PE goat population is 45% or 57 PE goats.Regression analysis showed that the only factor that affecting return time significantly is mortality (P<0,05). The research result in Harapan Makmur group met expected target, this was proved by the increasing of population of PE goats, the addition of shared farmer and increasing of communities’ income trough PE goat cultivation in Manokwari, Papua Barat.
