Association of bacteria and sponges produce a lot of potentially bioactive compounds as antimicrobial. The study aimed to analyze genetic diversity of bacteria associated sponge Halichondria sp. that producing antimicrobial by ARDA (Amplified Ribosomal DNA Restriction Analysis). As many as 102 bacterial isolates obtained 72 endophytic bacterial isolates and 30 isolates of bacterial surfaces repectively. Screening test show, seven isolates of endophytic HAB
E-20, E-31 HAB, HAB E-33, E-37 HAB, HAB E-41, HAB E-43, E-57 and HAB, and three bacterial isolates surface HAB S-4, HAB S-5 and HAB S-24. Those antimicrobial activity isolates inhibit the growth of microbial pathogens i.e Enterophatogenic Escherichia coli (EPEC K-11), Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus aureus, Candida albicans, and C. tropicalis. Analysis diversity of bacteria producing antimicrobial analyzed by ARDA using restriction enzymes RsaI, HaeIII, and AluI produced six filotipe. Filotipe I, III, IV and V is a group consisting of two isolates, while filotipe II and VI consist of only one isolate. |
